Transverse cracking is a pavement surface distress that demands attention. It is a driver for many pavement action decisions, but it is not easily reported from the Integrator Software in a manner that works for PMS.

PMS developed a separate procedure to extract the relevant TCR data directly from the XML files and store it in the PMS Oracle database. This data table then becomes the input to other tools to allow PMS to report and incorporate information about TCR into the KDOT management process.

     KHS and NHS have been scanned by LCMS
     Pavemetrics software tool has been used to generate reports as XML data files
     Inputs:
         XML files for each route collected
             Currently use RVE Routes fields to link back to CMPs (and possibly PMS IDs) - most likely this needs to be done later and is not necessary for this Use Case
     Code to read the XML files
     Code to write the data to the PMS.LCMSTRANSCRACKS database table
     Queries to complete the load process
Actions
     Create a listing of routes
     Fire off the scripts to load the routes
Outputs
     Populated data table with TCR data in the PMS.LCMSTRANSCRACKS database table

    1.1. creates a set of routes for TCR data loads creating a script identifying the data
    1.2. submits the scripts for data processing and loading
2. SYSTEM
    2.1. Reads the specified XML data files from the route set
    2.2. Extracts the TCR data from the XML files
    2.3. Load the TCR data into the PMS.LCMSTRANSCRACKS database table
